Font problem

In arch linux, I installed KDE and when I use the kdm login manager, all I type are represented as small squares and I could not login.
How to correct this?

do you have indic fonts installed?
how did you setup your locale?

Fed up with the font problem, I deleted arch and installed Slackware 10.2 (my all time favourite).
Now let me go back again to arch and install it.

If my memory serves me right, I had India locale.
I don't know about the fonts installed.

Will revert back to you after installing arch in a couple of days.
