Flash Player 10 - problem installing

My flash player hasn't been working for some time and I downloaded Flash Player 10 tar.gz from the Adobe website. I followed the instructions on various websites as the ones on the adobe website were too complicated for me, and after eventually figuring out how to open a terminal window, the commands wouldn't work. I am useless with linux and therefore if someone has the time and patience to explain what to do in plain english or scottish I would be most grateful!

looking to you're profile you are using Fedora .
Even so with version 32 bits or 64 bits version
If it is 32 bits version look for it in you're package manager
If you use 64 version download so file copy /usr/lib/mozilla/plugin
If you are not using Fedora let use know with version of linux you are using
