Why did you pay for a free OS from them?
Seems like they modified the Firefox version to some enterprise version, so you should talk to them.

I have not encountered such a warning, and I use Firefox on three computers and multiple VMs, including Mint (obviously not all at the same time).

Could you provide more detail, such as under what circumstances the warning appears and what is its exact wording?

Not sure what to add to what the other users said, but you probably should install Linux Mint proper instead.

Firefox policies are in the file distribution/policies.json in installation directory - remove or edit as needed. It probably is all right: ubuntu does it, and mint is based on ubuntu.

This probably doesn't have much to do with Linux/Mint, but to do with your browser and the user you signed in with. If you're signed in with an account you use at your work, then they are enforcing a policy, based on their data security rules. You can sign OUT of that account, and the policies won't affect you, and sign in with your non-work account. Start an incognito window for work use, and the two won't touch each other.
