Question Firefox 3 Beta 5 bogs down!

Just loaded Suse 11 (downloaded from net) and installed without too many hiccups. 2nd day of bangin' around with it and have found that Firefox will 'bog' down on some pages and just freeze for a while and then continue. I've disabled the "Beagle" search thingy hoping that would help...it didn't. This machine is not the fastest gun in town....has 1 meg of ram and a 2.2 intel processor. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

how does firefox bog down? does the entire system bog down?
firefox 3 is out, so try installing that rather than a beta version.

Actually this version of Firfox came with the package. I'll look for a non-beta and since I'm so new to Linux it'll be a challange to get rid of the 'existing' and go backward. Thanks for the input.

Oooops! See what a Linux install can do to a newbie. Make that 1 GB pleeze and don't tell anyone that I made such a boneheaded error!

With the change of the version of Firefox PLUS downloading the latest patches from the Suse on line site has my machine zinging now. Thanks again for everyone pointing me in the right direction.
