finger myusername?


hey all,

i'm reading at the debian tutorial and the author writes "type finger yourusername to have a look at some of the publicly avaiable info . . ."

my user name is blight so i enter finger blight. it returns command not found. what am i not understanding? thanks in advance

means finger isn't installed on your machine. :-)

Or perhaps finger isn't in his path
(try /usr/bin/finger blight)
