Hi and welcome to LQ.
This is not urgent for us.

Have a look at:
http://tldp.org/LDP/Bash-Beginners-G...ect_08_02.html

Alternatively, google for BASH positional parameters.

Hello and Welcome to LinuxQuestions,

First of all, please don't use "URGENT" in your title or posts. It's only urgent to you, not to us who are all volunteers here at LQ putting in our free time. Also put your code between [ CODE ] [ /CODE ] (without the spaces) tags for readability. And to answer your question, that is if I understood you correctly, have a look at this site. Have fun with Linux.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

Welcome to the "pack" - if you need an answer, please post it. Marking it "urgent" is not needed, that only works best in the mail room

Help us help you:

- specify what you're trying to achieve
- please use clear English...this:

Quote:
I have this script to find with current date how it will be possibe that this script will ask me about which "date" you want to search Please help
only tells me you quickly typed this in before getting a cup of coffee and expect to have an answer when you're back...a Eric pointed out, we're happy to help...but we have our own "threads of execution" (jobs) too

- supply code, hilight it and click on the "quote" button to allow us to read it...
- and lastly, Linux is about being self-sufficient...relax, don't panic...

Welness to you

Thor
