hello fellow linux heads & users.
I have been using my Suse 9.2 box lately & I cannot help but notice that @ bootup ,it says my Filesystem is not CLEAN <it is a reiser Fs>.
I know it is from me impatiently shutting down the OS by hitting the reset button On the computer ,when I have FREEZE-UP problems (especially when accessing Bad Cd,s ,dvd,s). (using K3b to read a cd/dvd).
My usual location when doing this is when being a NON-root user , However today ,running Root -I had to do the same ,, just could not shut the thing down w/ ctrl-alt-backspace or ctrl-alt -delete < i had a frozen keyboard&mouse >.
Now that I have 2 bad "unclean filesystems" what damage have I done && what can I do to fix it???
I notice the same things in my Arch, only the difference is that if I shut down my PC by switching off the UPS in case of a freeze, Arch automatically cleans the filesystem in next boot up.

Despite using an unsupported version, which shouldn't matter when the machine isn't exposed to the net, your first problem isn't to fix the file-systems, it is to fix the freezing issues. Fixing the file-systems is fixing the symptoms, but you really should fix the cause.
