i am chinese and have poor English
return the quetion , i tell you detailed info:
my ubuntu version is ubuntu 16.04 LTS
and i try to install tldr to learn command :
i first run : npm install -g tldr (i think the command have implemented)
and then i run : apt-get install nodejs npm (i think the command also have implemented)
then i run: tldr command;

i try to upgrade npm and node( although i don't understand npm and node)

I can guess only, you need to run first apt-get install nodejs npm and afterward npm install -g tldr.
Please post the output of these commands.
