because fedora will NEVER install by default non opensource code
Software that REQUIRES a license to be bought ( like mp3,wmv,mov,rm,...) need to be installed by you IF you live in a country that these ARE free to use without paying the patent and copyright royalty's .Then you can install mplayer and it's codecs package ( see:Mjmwired)
fedora offers a paid for set through totem media player -- $30 us i think
