Fedora Core1 install on server

I am trying to install Fedora core 1 on a server. I have been given the cds and a boot disk that should work.

However I am getting

VFS: Cannot open root device "" or 48:03
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 48:03

Please help!!
