Post Fedora 8 with VMware and keeping Windows XP toolbar in the Fedora gui

I have Fedora 8 installed with VMware. I installed Windows XP in VMware. Is it possible to keep the XP toolbar available while running Fedora 8 without having to launch VMWare? I was told this could be done but I haven't had any success at it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Yakxo.

There might be some other trick to achieve this, but as far as I'm aware vmware will always need to be running. Here's a link that might help you get set up;

In that scenario Windows XP is running headless within the vmware server. I guess you might be able to not have the Win XP task bar and the vmware server off, then you could launch the vmware server and application from a single kde/gnome menu entry. Might take some tinkering.

Thanks Red! I'm going to give it a try and see how it works out for me.
