FC3 doesn't recognize SouthBridge

Running older FC3 on newer Biostar PMSD900-M7FE

Bootup says 'VP_IDE South Bridge not recognized, will not start DMA'.

Is there an easy way to get my existing kernel
or source tree to recognize it. Later kernels
recognize it just fine, but not in FC3.

Thanks in advance,

Homer

You shouldn't use FC3, it is ancient, totally unsupported and full of 8 years of security holes.

fedora 3 and 5 were both dead and unsupported when you asked about the kernel back in 2010
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...8/#post4112025
nor has the support for new hardware changed in the last 4 years
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...8/#post4096492
you asked 4 years ago about "Southbridge"

install fedora 20
or
if this is a server room
CentOS 6.5
or for the OLD legacy hardware
CentOS 5.10
