failed dependencies are ticking me off

Why does it seem like every time I try to install a new piece of software, I get this Failed Dependencies error, and it lists a package.

I go get that opackage and it fails for another dependency. And the process never ends.

How do you guys deal with this?

Try to do an "apt-get update" before you try installing to update your source packages database. Since you are using Fedora, why not use yum. It's features are about the same as apt.
