exporting root filesystem via NFS

I'm trying to export the root filesystem via NFS to another computer for backup purposes, but I'm receiving errors.

On Ron, system exporting root filesystem

/etc/exports file on Ron (exporting / to bob)

/ bob(rw,no_root_squash)

On Bob

/etc/fstab file

ron:/ /disk2/bobroot nfs rw,bg 0 0

The directory /disk2/bobroot is existing on Bob

The error that I get on Bob is that it cannot mount / permission denied by server.

Can anyone help me?

Got a few suggestions/ideas:

After adding things to your /etc/exports file did you run:
exportfs -ra

Instead of using "bob" in your exports file, try using the IP of the computer (can be obtained from typing /sbin/ifconfig as root)
