/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist in RHEL 4.5

!!!Hello Everyone!!!

I want to blacklist one module in RHEL 4.5

In RHEL 5.X we can remove the module using modprobe and then blacklist it in the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist to make it permanent after reboot.

But in RHEL 4.5 there is no such file like /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

So how to blacklist a module in RHEL 4.5

Hello,

Do you have a file /etc/modprobe.conf? If so you could use the information on this site most likely.

Kind regards,

Eric
