Error while booting??


i am using ubuntu 10.04 lts and i got an error when the computer was booting up.the error message is as follows:

Init: plymouth main process (264) terminated with status 127
mountall:error while loading shared libraries:libply.s0.2
cannot open shared object file :input/outpput error
init:mountall main process(284) terminated with status 127

what woould have caused as an error,i wonder?? pliz help me rectify it?
