I have two computers one is RHEL4 and the other is XP I have a printer HP 1400 series which is connected to the linux PC and the printer is printing everithing through the linux system, This linux PC is running as a samba server and it is sharing some folders containg files it is OK
But my problem is this I cannot add the shared printer to the XP system
it is telling that thereis no correct printer driver in the server. But i have the cd with the printer. after installing the driver to the xp system the printer is getting add but. showing that access is denied ..
please give me solution for this proble ......

Someone will probably want to look at your /etc/samba/smb.conf file. Post the relevant section for the printer when you get a chance.

silly question, but is it set up as a shared printer in linux?
not having access, could be the printers permissions in linux..
