Dual boot

Hi,
I have an interesting situation over here. My pc has a dual boot slackware/other not unix O.S. When changing the O.S. the network card stops working, so I have to turn off my computer a couple of hours to have the network card working again. Somebody has have heard something like that?
Thanks.

That sounds like the network card is overheating and needs time to cool off before it will work again. Check your case ventilation fans and any other internal fans to be certain they are working. You may also want to take the pc to a repair shop to have the card checked out.
