does Dlink DWA-182 Wireless AC1200 Dual Band USB Adapter work on kali linux (in vmware)
Hey!
I wanted to start learning kali Linux and I started with networking things. I needed a USB wireless adapter because I use a virtual machine I have a MacBook air m1 and I use VMware fusion as my virtual machine for Linux so would "Dlink DWA-182 Wireless AC1200 Dual Band USB Adapter" be a good option for me or not and if not what should I choose because most of the Alfa adapters are not sold where I live.
I would actually put some names to wireless adapters that I can buy and please help me pick the right one and if I need to install a driver or something please give me the links and the way to do that and get it to work.
the adapters are:
-Dlink DWA-182 Wireless AC1200 Dual Band USB Adapter (I've mentioned it)
-TP-Link Archer T2U AC600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter - 433 Mbps
- D-Link DWA-131 Wireless N Nano USB Adapter - Black
- D-Link Wireless AC Dual USB 2.0 Adapter - DWA-171/NA
thank you in advance!
Based on your previous thread, I think you should really learn linux first then after you are at least somewhat familiar with the linux os you will be much better equipped (with experience) to approach a specialized distro such as kali.
Since kali is specialized for security pen testing it is far from friendly for an inexperienced user, and will have few of the normal apps that other desktop distros provide.

Q: Does this work with kali linux?
A: Yes. It is plug and play for Kali Linux. Don't use it with Kali inside any VM.
