docker and circleCI

Hi,

I need to automate build,deploy and ship pipeline using Docker and circleCI.I have gone through a number of docs and tutorials, but i am having hard time in understanding these.

What is the difference between Dockerfile and circleci/.config file.

I am really confused where to start from.

As, Docker,circleCI and bitbucket are all new to me,any leads in this direction can help me in understanding the whole concept.

I don't know this circleCI, but as I checked their home page here are the differences:
docker is more or less similar to a VM. That means you can use a Dockerfile to specify an environment which is pretty good to make a unified build system.
circleCI is something like a build engine and you can use it to build your software within a docker container.

(Unfortunately) you need to learn about docker before usage, it is relatively simple, but definitely not a trivial task.
