Check your /etc/X11/XF86Config file using your favorite text editor. Look for your display settings sections, it should look similar to this:
Code:
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1280x960" "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubsection
Go to your default depth section (like that one above) and make sure you've got this in there:
ViewPort 0 0
So it should look like this when you're done:
Code:
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
This seems to be what your problem is. If the view port is not set to "0 0" then you'll get the same symptoms. Also, check to see if you have any lines such as
Virtual "1280x1024"
This could cause problems too if you don't have it set the way you want it. Hope this helps.
