Disk Partitioning Error?

So I installed Ubuntu a couple of years ago. But before I did I think I made some partitioning errors:

Two of the partitions have 1MB each with Linux Filesystem and Contents unknown. Neither of the two 1MB partitions show a star or show as mounted.

I am assuming I created these two in error?

Why is your $SWAP so huge? Your $RAM x 3 is sufficient.

I don't know much about partitions. I don't know why my Swap is what it is. Can I refine it? Thanks.

Your swap partition is 1 GB. I think the previous poster thought it was 81 GB.
Some might consider it to small but it depends on how you use the system. You can always add a swap file if you want more space.

The other partitions could of been created in error but trying to recover a few MBA is not worth the effort.

You can always pickup the unallocated space at the end of the drive.

A 1mb parition is used on a gpt disk for installing grub in csm/legacy mode and is flagged as bios-grub. The existence/non-existence of /sys/firmware/efi determines if your booting in uefi or csm/legacy mode. You should only have one bios-grub partition if booting in legacy/csm mode and is not needed if booting in uefi mode. As has already been suggested, if everything is working, leave as is as you may induce more problems by attempting to remove the partitions. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As far as I'm concerned...
Windows shrunk it's WinRE partition and created those, they are side by side, like eyes keeping an eye on your Linux.

I doubt that Windows creates partitions of type Linux Filesystem. They are most likely a result of some user error.

its definitely a user error
had the same issue back in the day
Looks like something lagged and I accidentally created 5 little storages and all had the same 1MB capacity
I just left them be, its just a couple of MB

As far as UEFI boot, look at his partition #1. That is the efi partition.

What I see is that partition 3, his windows partition is 900+GB. It most likely does not need to be near that large, and could easily be shrunk to give him more room for linux

I think the OP is more concerned as to what's the scoop with these two little equal sized partitions, not looking for more space.
Since the OP is concerned, I thought I would elevate the fear with the eye angle.

Secret code in there man!

Code:
As far as UEFI boot, look at his partition #1. That is the efi partition.
Without knowing what problems the op had when installing linux, can't really say why there are two 1mb partitions. As far as we know the op may have created then because of something read somewhere. Or possibly a result of a few install/re-installs and some of the installs was done in csm/legacy mode.

The op admitting to not knowing much about partitions, therefore the suggest to leave as is.
