You cannot do it like this. The ss options -H and -O are crucial for any of these methods to work. Try
Code:
sudo watch 'ss -HOpn | tabulate -fplain'
and you'll see the difference.

Look like intermittent errors to me. But I don't use Arch or its derivatives, so cannot comment on this.

not working. no idea where's the problem.
This is a different program that just happens to be named the same as the one you installed. It's not available from Arch repositories. I provided the link to CPAN.

method printf:
Code:
printf '%s %s %d %3d %-17s %9s %.32s\n' $(sudo ss -pn)
As I said, the printf method requires manual adjustment of the format string for every combination of ss options. Moreover, for many combinations further adjustments (e.g with sed) would be required. See what I mean:
Code:
watch 'printf "%s %s %d %3d %20.20s %-9d %s %-9d %.1s %.15s\n" $(sudo ss -HOpn|sed "y/:/ /;s/*/+/g;/ESTAB/!Q")'

As for printf method, it is just too hard. not possible for me to be able to use it. I will just drop that .

Anyway, this is just way difficult to use.. I don't want spend time to pursue this method.
Thanks for your help.
