Detailed information on Fedora services

Good morning all, I am trying to locate some resources where I can learn more about the default services. Basically my objective is to install a BARE Bone fedora with NOTHING that I do not need except gnome itself (still learning the command line). From there start to add applications as I need them. however I find during startup there seems to be a large number of services starting during each boot up. Is there a way I can identify what services are standard and get information as to what they are and the purpose they serve? Thanks!

I tryed to google "Fedora services" and other combinations but failed to find many results. If someone has another suggestion for more specific search strings please post away! Thanks
