deleting previous sessions

I am using SUSE 9.1 and I found this directory: file:/home/adam/.kde/share/config/session
It seems to contain previous session info. I was wondering it is safe to remove these files, or whether they are necessary because i just set kde so that it starts a fresh session each reboot.

not sure - just rename the dir to something else, log out then back in and see what happens - can always move it back later if you have to

it's a session-restore type utility
ie) if you logout while programs are running, etc, it reopens them on login
