Debian running on NAS. Need to start daemon after reboot

Hey guys!

I have a NAS with a slimed debian running on it. I installed an nzb grabber on it and i was pondering about what would be the simplest and best way to get it to start every time the system reboots. I made a small bash script that starts it up the right way.

Would it be to possible to place it in the rc or to put an @reboot flag in the crontab?

br,

Ravedog

Hi ravedog,

Ideally you would create an init script for it, copy an existing one eg. /etc/init.d/atd and modify accordingly. Just ensure that yours starts at 99,

cheers,

You can put it rc.local so that everytime your system boots up it gets executed.
