Debian/Gnome-Right-click menu

How would I modify the menu I see when I right click on the desktop? I want to include a launcher for gnome-terminal not just x-term. Thanks a lot!!

Debian has an elaborate system for menus that, sort of, tries to get them on a sensible and standardised basis. Can't remember but, at a quess, if the thing is installed then doing 'update-menus' or something like that would probably do it.

Hope helps.
