Good morning Linux workers,
Keeping up to date I installed Betsy on one of the six partitions of my i-7, 1.5TB. Now I am back with Debian 8 and Mint mate LXDE. Reason: Both run to a standard form. I know what I am doing. Betsy progs don't due to prog changes - don't know why! For instance simple Freecell, my something to do, relax for ten minutes, is missing the ability with one click to restart, and the other shortcuts. At my age I don't fiddle around having to work out 'how to', I move on.
As a roofer, if your roof doesn't leak don't mend it, so apply likewise to good working progs.
Don't let your changes come under the heading of Mr Hutber's law (Ed Times), precis: progress is a retrograde step.
I started with Red Hat 1999, the cornered rat prog, and have since 'flown the Linux flag'.
Yes, I was a roofer, worked at Buckingham Palace ....(no afternoon tea there!) and I am 94.
So, please, simple things for me in my second child hood.
Seriously, Linux is great and you are all doing a great job. Thanks
Sincerely, Bill.
