I have also had USB drives fail, always to read-only. I recently had a 32GB drive fail that way, and I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to revive it, purely for educational reasons. Nothing worked, and the drive was eventually thrown in the trash. It may be time to invest in a new one.

Last night I decided to give up repairing the usb flash because it has proved only a wild goose chase. One thing I am 100% sure is that the error is Logical rather than Hardware. Data already on the flash is still usable not corrupted at all.

Thank you all of you for your attention.

That's the way USB flash drives fail. They go read-only, and the data is still present. Flash memory is very stable, and can survive a great deal of physical damage. But the ability to write to that memory fails.

Think logically here.
If the designers want to protect your data for you how would they do it?
Make it so it is still there and cannot be destroyed!!

Flash drives are designed so when they detect any error in a write attempt they fail -- To READ-ONLY! Your data is protected for you.

There have been many discussions here about that. It may be something people have to wrap their heads around but is still a fact of life in the computer world.
