Question DB2 8.1 on Redhat 7.2 - PHP Configure issue

I'm fairly new to Linux.
I've installed Redhat 7.2 (which I beielve is the most recent version which DB2 8.1 will run on) and have the Apache server up and running and PHP installed using rpm. I'm trying to get DB2 to work with PHP and see all sorts of references to unpacking files, compiling Apache and compiling and installing PHP.

Question - Do I have to reinstall Apache and PHP in order to configure PHP to work --with-ibm-db2............

I'd like to just configure PHP (since it's already installed but don't quite know what / where to go to configure it

Help would be appreciated.

JP
