CUPs printer user restriction

I have CUPs server on which some printers connection type is lpd/socket because an application uses this to print the documents. The problem is these printer with lpd/socket connection type are shared on network as application is also running on another server so the user sometime mistakenly select these printer which are actually RAW queue and does not print the correct format document.

My question is how can i prevent this so the user can not select these printer because these printer are dedicated for an application managed by xinetd and cups-lpd

I found this link
https://www.cups.org/blog/2005-05-09...a-printer.html
but i have multiple users and the list can grow further so i didnot like the solution.

Can you hide the printer on the server by unpublishing it? Via the CUPS web interface, click on the "Unpublish Printer" button, or via CLI using...

Code:
sudo lpadmin -p >printername> -o printer-is-shared=false
