Creating and deleting folder/documentsproblem in samba directory.


I'm very new in linux samba environment.... pardon me if I'm wrong.

I'm using Slackware Linux 10.1

I can login into the server. But mu problem is..

1. When I accessing the server using WINXP PRO SPC2 USER(I assign 2 group TEACHERS AND STUDENT) can login but when THEY go into the SHARED or TEACHERSHARED THEY cant creating or deleting folder that ROOT created before. If I'm using ROOT as a login ID yes I can delete and creating folder.

IS ANYONE CAN HELP ME... REALLY AAPRECIATE.

THIS IS MY

is it silly of me to ask if the parent directories are owned by root?

because if root created them outside of samba they should have mode 0644 or something like that, right?
