Getting this error;

syntax error at ./IVR_TEST.pl line 15, near "$filename
print"
Execution of ./IVR_TEST.pl aborted due to compilation errors.

This explanation does makes sense.

Code:
open (FILE, ">/space/data/$filename") || die("Couldn't open file and directory");
This worked.

Thanks a million for your all support and the final explanation.
While coding, we sometime go blind. We dont see things even when they are in front of our eye's (Might be due to stress or pressure from our pears to finish the job sooner).

Forum's like these, really matters and helps when we really are in need of something.
