could not find kernel image linux

I installed Knoppix 5.x onto a usb pen drive, but I get the above error on trying to boot my friend's pc with it. I read here that I should check the paths to the kernel and initrd files in text.cfg, but I don't have that file on the pen drive. It's previously worked fine.

Could somebody please supply me with a copy of text.cfg so that I could then edit it?

Any help with this is much appreciated.

It seems like you are missing the syslinux.cfg file. First, look for the directory /syslinux or /boot/syslinux Inside of that directory there should be a file named syslinux.cfg and hopefully a kernel image. I found a page here: that suggests that the file and directory name may be isolinux instead. If you find that to be the case, rename them to /isolinux and isolinux.cfg and give it a try.
