Hi LeoRodriguez, and welcome to LQ.

Please post the specifications for the laptop so that your fellow users may offer some more detailed aid.

For my part, it should have a capability to enter the boot settings a.k.a. BIOS. Please go in there and verify that a hard drive is present and detected. There also should be a string describing the detected drive, or drives if there are multiple ones. Please copy that string or strings, and post that also.

Please update us. Because it could be as simple as a bad, or non-existent hard drive. Doubting this, but just something to actually verify here, for our benefit.

Can I assume that you have windows 10 on it already? Can I assume that the way that OS sometimes works with bios is it "locks" the hard drive so that no change can be made on boot. I forget what it's called now.

It could be also possible that you changed out of uefi. Some of the new portable type systems won't allow you to load to drive out of uefi. Remember that uefi can present any set of hardware to the OS that the bios creator designed. Many of the onboard ssd's may not be available to the OS in CSM.
