Red face command line failed


hey helping guys........need help



after update,upgrade, and distro upgrade my system has changed.....

now i can not do any thing by using command lines like as


root@Hasan5599:~# synaptic
No protocol specified

(synaptic:4375): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0
root@Hasan5599:~# geany
No protocol specified
Geany: cannot open display

root@Hasan5599:~# leafpad ~/.conkyrc
No protocol specified
leafpad: Cannot open display:
root@Hasan5599:~#






my terminal always showing me NO PROTOCOL SPECIFIED what is the wrong ???
how to solve this problem ??????
now i am using mx linux latest version

root has no graphical environment, so you cannot start any graphical app. Probably you logged in as regular user and executed sudo or something like that. I have no idea. Try to execute xhost + as normal user, before switching to root (although it is not really safe)
