Clocezilla and WIN10 and Linux on the same disk

I know that this topic has been discussed many times. I am referring to cloning a larger disk into a smaller SSD. I know, of course, that first - for example, using gparted - I have to narrow the partitions so that their total size is slightly smaller than the target disk. Then I want to use Clonezilla to clone the disk. But I have WIN10 and Mageia 6 (Grub2) installed on the disk. If I use Clonezilla after using it, I will be able to choose the boot from one or the other system at once, or I will have to do something else. What are Colleagues experience in this area? Does WIN start after this cloning correctly?

Clonezilla makes a bit for bit copy of the disk, so the new disk should boot exactly the same as the old one.

Edit: I assume the old and new drive are both SATA. You may have a problem if you are going from a SATA drive to an NVMe SSD drive, because Grub won't be configured to boot from the correct device.

Hope You are right. First of course "ordinary" disk image using dd, because only real tough people live without backup ;-)
