changing the default in grub


is there a way to change the default operating system in the grub menu?
any one plz reply. i am using FC3

You need to change /boot/grub/grub.conf. In /boot/grub.conf the default is set by the default parameter which says which title is to be used as the default OS. The titles are numbered 0, 1, etc. So to set the second title as the default OS place this command near the beginning of /boot/grub/grub.conf

default 1
