Hi
Where would I need to edit to change the boot text?
The Kernel?
Thanks

Your question is not very clear?
What do you mean by boot text?

I know of text coming from
- BIOS
- the bootloader (grub, lilo etc)
- the kernel when loading (kernel config and boot options)
- the init process (files in /etc/init.d/)
