Change K Menu icon

Suse offers a big green penishead blob for a K-menu icon, and I'd like to change it. I changed the SuSEmenu.png in file:/opt/kde3/share/icons/crystalsvg/48x48/apps/ but that doesn't seem to change anything.

Any help?

I'm using Mandrake but it can't be too different; click on the little arrow in the top right of the taskbar menu then go to Panel Menu ->Configure Panel... -> Appearance tab and change the K menu KDE button.

SuSE Menu Button cont'd

I'm watching this post very carefully.
I have also renamed every instance of the SuSEmenu.png that I can find and not having any luck in the lizard crawling away either.
I have no option to change that button in the appearance screen either, like some ppl obviously do on other distros. The button is fine and dandy, to start with, but common, this is Linux, thought we were 'open' about things like this!

Must be a config file somewhere that is setting this menu button up to act like this, should be changing that, not renaming icon files that might or could be used elswhere.

Bye for now <crossing fingers>

I believe the file that needs to be changed is kmenu.png in /path/to/kde/share/icons/... Hatherley, I don't believe there is a config somewhere to change this, at least I've never found one.

your absolutely right, I found it and was just on my way to tell the forum where it was...I found it in...
file:/etc/opt/kde3/share/icons/ > eg. crystalsvg/128x128/apps/ (this last bit might be different depending on the user?) Anyhow, any kmenu icons in any of the folders in the above mentioned path, WILL solve the kmenu chameleon popup.
