Friend,

I have a ".cgi script" in my "/var/www/html/rrdtool" directory. Named "traffic.cgi" . Hence i make some changes
into my "httpd.conf" file . The changes are :


ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "/var/www/cgi-bin/"

AddHandler cgi-script .cgi

<Directory />
Options FollowSymLinks +ExecCGI
AllowOverride None
</Directory>

DirectoryIndex traffic.cgi index.cgi index.html


Doing the above configuration , when i run my cgi script
"server.example.com/rrdtool/traffic.cgi" then it shows :
"You don't have permission to access /rrdtool/traffic.cgi on this server"

I don't understand the problem . plz help me......................


***My another question is , What is activities of "cgi-bin" Directory ? Which types of information it needs ? And is it necessary for running a ".cgi script" ? Here i mention that my cgi-bin directory is in and it is Empty :

ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "/var/www/cgi-bin/"
