CentOs: bare minimum

Ok, I'm working on group project for school. Our goal is to create wiki using CentOs. We downloaded Cent W/ minimal server. We have downloaded the Gnome but can not get it to boot from command line.

Any ideas?

Since you chose the minimal server to install, it does not include graphical environment; it's strictly command line text ability. If I'm not mistaken, you need to install X windows before installing Gnome in order for the Gnome gui to work.

Yeah,
we did download "X system". That was the problem, we couldn't get it to boot. Anyway, worked on it last night in class. We dumped idea of gnome and installed webmin on the server and remote accessed from my terminal. Worked!
Now I need to get firewall setup. Opposing group in class is tasked with cracking our system.
Have any awesome counter espionage tactics?
