Cant mount any dev as a normal user


hi
i have a little problem with mounting drives
as root i can mount win drives and dvd and cdr
as me i cant mount any of them , it keep saying
mount : bad ss type , bad superblock on /dev/hda1
or too many mounted filesystems

it happend after i compiled kernel 2.4.22

pls help

your media (floppy, dvd, cdrom) needs to be fixed. where you have user, it needs to be users with an "s" there is not group user unless you created it. if you change that then you should be able to mount them no prob

it still dont work i get thic mess by boot still
too many mounted file sytems
can this be a mystake that i made in xconfig before i compiled a kernel ?
