I connected a turned on Canon POwer Shot A95 to the USB port; and gtkam could not detect it. What could I check for?

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum (or in the same forum twice with different titles). Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
