Cannot get wireless Belkin f5d8010 on old dell 2650

Hi this is my first time posting on this site, I have had some experience with ubuntu on my Lenovo y730. I was told to run debian on my dell 2650 for the compatibility, All I want is to be able to run either my Belkin pre n f5d8010 pcmcia card or a linksys usb wifi. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

We'll need a little more information about the wireless cards. The Belkin 8010 does not appear to have a native Linux driver (Airgo True MIMO), the Linksys might.

Post some information about the Linksys card. Like model number, version, and output from lsusb. Linksys USB cards use several different wireless chips. I have a Linksys USB card that is plug and play with the rt73 chip. Linksys uses Atmel, Prism2/2.5/3, Prism GT, Ali, Ralink, and Broadcom chipsets. Some work quite well (Ralink), some are hit or miss (Broadcom), some don't work natively (Ali). Most will work with ndiswrapper. http://wiki.debian.org/NdisWrapper
