Can I use Fedora 11 passwd, shadow, gshadow, group files in Fedora 12??

Hello all,

I recently mashed the passwd, shadow, gshadow, group files in my Fedora 12 installation. I was dumb and didn't take a copy of the originals and all I have is the originals from a Fedora 11 installation..

Can I substitute the F11 files into F12 and have it work properly?

Dunno for sure but I think you should be able to use them with any linux distro using shadow files.

Could you try doing something like reinstalling coreutils with Yum? I don't know much about it.
