i think installing xp first and then installing kubuntu will be easier for you.the df output shows you are have all of your disk space alloted to linux. you could sure try Gparted and free up some space to install xp, but i don't know whether you should try it in your / partition or not. maybe someone else will confirm.

k i got this gparted opened up how can i get it to let me resize it
