Unhappy Can't type Japanese with FC3

I'm having a trouble.
I'm a student learning Japanese and trying to type Japanese on my Fedora Core 3 PC.
But, I don't know where to change English to Japanese.

When I looked up on other places, there should be a box that says EN(in the top right) but I can't see it. I checked to see if the services are running and it was.

[root@localhost ~]# service FreeWnn status
jserver (pid 4584) is running...
[root@localhost ~]# service canna status
cannaserver (pid 4570) is running...
[root@localhost ~]# service iiim status
htt (pid 4556) is running...
[root@localhost ~]#

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Thanks for your help
