can't find java library to install plugin

I downloaded and sucessfully "installed" the java 1.5 plugin, although I have my doubts. However when I attempt to enable configure firfox I can't find the "ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so" library. The ns directory does not exist?

I'm stuck at step # 2
http://java.com/en/download/help/5000010500.xml#14

Code:
[root@localhost i386]# pwd
/usr/java/jre1.5.0_10/lib/i386
[root@localhost i386]# ls -a
. libdt_socket.so libjava.so libnet.so
.. libfontmanager.so libjawt.so libnio.so
awt_robot libhprof.so libJdbcOdbc.so librmi.so
client libinstrument.so libjdwp.so libunpack.so
gtkhelper libioser12.so libjpeg.so libverify.so
headless libj2pkcs11.so libjsig.so libzip.so
jvm.cfg libjaas_unix.so libjsoundalsa.so motif21
libawt.so libjava_crw_demo.so libjsound.so native_threads
libcmm.so libjavaplugin_jni.so libmanagement.so server
libdcpr.so libjavaplugin_nscp_gcc29.so libmlib_image.so xawt
libdeploy.so libjavaplugin_nscp.so libnative_chmod.so

[root@localhost i386]#
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061219 Fedora/1.5.0.9-1.fc6 Firefox/1.5.0.9 pango-text

Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 #1 SMP Mon Oct 16 14:54:20 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Did I miss a step?

Go to /usr/java/jre1.5.0_10. There's a directory in there called plugin, which you should be in rather than in lib.

I see it now. I see my error when I re-read the directions. RTFM - doh!

Thanks!
