how to install java vm plugin

i have REDHAT 9 and i want to chat using mozilla as the browser.
i have obtained the j2re-1_4_2_01-linux-i586.rpm from
but i don't know where to plug it in so mozilla recognizes it
can someone help?

I had to create a link for mozilla. (I didn't do the RPM). In my /usr/local/mozilla/plugins directory I have a link to .../j2re1.4.1/plugin/i386/mozilla/
